With
the Internet you have
tens of thousands of stations and podcast choices. Soon to be
million, undoubtedly.
Realistically,
you will never have enough time to listen to everything you snag,
record, or podcast download. In fact, who wants to listen to
same
thing day in and day out? Variety and quality, baby! Thus, space is required on your
mp3
player for variety and ensuring your experience matches your mood and
education level. So, I wrote Mp3squisher
(akronedge.info/mp3squisher) to make your mp3 player hold 3 to 10 times
more hours per gig, increase battery life, reduce transfer time, and
help alleviate congestion on your harddrive. Since this is
great
for streamripping, sharing, and podcasting, and is free. I am
not
including it as part of ahkpod.
Ideally, a good mp3 player would
mark podcasts and streamrips as read and could wirelessly sync your
shrunken podcasts. But that will never happen. I
have yet
to investigate any sync scripts that would be useful, since I have yet
to envision the specs. I just drag and drop every week or two, deleting listened to broadcasts. But email me.
